The good, the bad and the broke
Also known as my half ass attempt at Ranting Thursday.
It had to happen, my washing machine broke down. It is an Hitachi. I called all kind of repair places and they don't have parts for it. I called Hitachi here in Canada. They told me they don't make washing machines anymore. What was worse is they said, parts are extremely rare. I'd be lucky if I can find any anywhere in Canada. Well the thing is 25 - 30 years old. It served me well over the years.
On my way home today I stopped in an appliance store and bought a new washing machine. They will deliver it this weekend and remove my old machine. I guess it will end up in a landfill because it can't be fixed.
Oh well, laundry this weekend, it has piled up over the past month. So my Saturday will be busy. Sunday is RnR for me. Monday will be another busy day. Have to roast a turkey for Thanksgiving. Yes, our Thanksgiving is in October.
The point is, I managed to empty out my pockets to the tune of $800 in less than 5 minutes.
