(no subject)
well today was my first day of work. im very proud to say i did a very good job. went home and changed into my bathing suit and shorts really fast, grabed my bag full of water,snacks, my book, and suntan lotion. then shawn drove me down to the marina. hes so nice to give me a ride. then i went down to the dock and spent 3 hours sitting outside reading on this lovley afternoon. i had a total of 3 boats. yippy. i was glad that it was slow so i got use to it.
the first people where kinda stuck up. no tip for me =( i talked to this guy that was hanging out on the dock i was with.. and he was telling me all these different stories and stuff. then he went on and told me about the dock "most of the people are dickheads on the other docks, but sometimes they give you good tips. But our dock is full of drinkers and partiers," i did notice him with a beer in his hand. it was so funny. then like another group of people came just to hang out on the dock and talk to people. i got introduced to them and all. twas fun. they are so laid back, i love it.
then another boat came, they paid cash so they only wanted 40$ worth. which isnt that much gas. but ya i got a 2$ tip, SCORE! haha. then i read my book for another hour. i got to see crew practice, but i didnt know what school they were from. it was great. they were all yelling at eachother. and some where even grunting as they rowed =X
then my madre showed up with my nana and grandpa. talked to them until i was about to leave then this guy who worked there asked if i could stay for a minute and fill up his boat. then Gene, the dock manager showed up and helped me give Nathan a hard time my holding me over. lol then he said he had no cash to give me a tip so he would give it to me tomorrow. he better! lol
then i left and went out to eat at Carabbas. Now im home. woop
