Wow..an update
Well...sort of an update. I always have trouble with doing updates. I either start a post then delete it or just never follow through with the writing of it. Anyway...
I've been doing well. The job I have is going alright. I'm training a new guy as the Server/Lab Manager so hopefully in another few weeks he'll be up to speed and my workload will decrease back to normal. I have a meeting latter this morning and afterwards I think I'll bring up the topic of my raise. If it doesn't come through I'm seriously thinking about transfering to another department when a job opens again.
Personal-wise....hrm...
I went to San Antonio this weekend with some wonderful people isyllt, tsiobo, pumpkin13, keishthramoth, and Trudi (who's not on LJ). We all went to see Kelly sitara_rising in her belly-dance performance and WOW she was good!! I hadn't seen her dance in over a year and I had forgotten how good she was. I wish we could've spent more time in SA but time and money were against us. Hopefully latter this summer a group can get together again to hit Sea World and spend some more time with Kelly :)
A week ago I went to my first Solstice ritual. I've never been but I've always wanted to go. It was nice and filled me with something I'd been missing for awhile. I really, really want to get into drumming so if anyone out there knows of any good professional drumming group in Dallas lemme know!
We have a new roommate at the house. Pat Haughton is moving all his loot in and it'll be good to see that goober more now. Plus...it's an extra person to help pay rent and bills which is always good :)
My snugglebunny and I are doing wonderfully. We love each other muchly and are still mushy in love!!
The future....
Next month I'll be heading down to Austin sometime. I'll be giving a presentation to some people at Dell about the Help Desk/Server/Labs/Printing here at SOM. I don't know when it'll be yet but luckily it's up to me to decide sooooo if anyone would like to head down to Austin let me know.
The middle of July I'll be traveling with hutson to Oklahoma for a writers convention. If it's like the last one I went with her to it should be a fun time!
I'm still working on my Deliria game. Hopefully I can get some more work done on that and get it running. I know many of you out there want to play it :) Hrm...I might just bring the book and my laptop and work on it during the con I mentioned above... I know isyllt and keishthramoth want to play...anyone else?
