Why I'm reccing this fic: It has Fraser catching Ray just at the crucial moment. It has them talking about it. It has back rubs and blow jobs, too. Plus it's a really, really good story.

He couldn’t blame himself for the overall circumstances, but he could blame himself for having been nostalgic or childish enough to have needed to see the open sky that night. Even if it was only as much of the sky as you could see from a budget-priced hotel in Minneapolis. It was only a bit of sky, really, but there was a magnificent full moon, and Fraser was sharing a room with Ray Kowalski a/k/a Vecchio; and perhaps both facts had gone to his head.

Why I'm reccing this fic: I'm a sucker for a long, well written story that runs the gammit of emotions. Like this one. Ray finds out Fraser is in love with him and freaks, but then he can't stay away. So it's all about Ray getting used to loving Fraser, too. It's got a whole heap of stuff, but the scene where Ray makes Fraser watch him jerk off is just... well, I can read it all on it's own. Repeatedly. Trust me, you'll need bunk time after that particular scene.

Fraser was listening. Oh, he'd rolled over to face the wall, but he was lying as still as a dead man. Or one paralyzed by embarrassment.

Yeah, okay, it was mean to be doing this to him, but Ray had it pretty bad. He should have taken care of it earlier, before Fraser came home, but he hadn't really noticed it then. He'd been too busy planning dinner and applying for a library card and trying his damnedest to fit in, here, and find something to do with his days so Fraser would stop thinking of him as a guest and a dead weight, and start figuring he was here to stay.

He didn't want to go back. He didn't want to hang out in the squad room or be partners with Jerrit or see another twelve-year- old kid shot and bleeding all over the sidewalk. He wanted to be here, with Fraser . . . even if it meant Fraser was dying of embarrassment just three feet away.

Why I'm reccing this fic:  Oh, the unrequited love thing is delicious. And there's a lovely little Turnbull cameo. (Surprise!) It's beautifully drawn out, so that by the time Fraser gets to it, you're begging him to touch himself. Seriously.

It was an effort to read the words, to give them significance in his head, to string them into the sentences they were designed to make, to give them meaning in context with the words, sentences, paragraphs before and after them. He’d turned two pages without taking in a single facet of plot or purple prose before he glanced up at his clock. It was a quarter to seven. Ray was probably getting ready for his date. He was probably in the shower right now, washing away the grime of the city and the smell of a hard day’s work. Water would be washing over him in clear rivulets that clung to his skin and followed the sinewy shape of his body, making his flesh sparkle and look so inviting to just place a mouth against his skin and suckle the water from it.
