Pairing: F/K
Rating: PG
Length: medium
Why I'm reccing this fic: This was one of the very first DS fics I ever read, and I still have a soft place for it. It's just...them figuring everything out by accident, and Fraser being all smoking hot and sultry and KNOWING. I just. I LOVE this, and I think it's a great introduction to the fandom and the pairing

"I'll take Kowalski's chair. He's leaving." He looked down at Ray. "Matsuko flagged me down as I was heading out. He says your guy's ready to talk."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. Looks like Lo Presti wants to get a deal on the table. Get over there and make it happen, Detective."

"On my way." Ray stood up and held his chair out for Welsh, then slipped his leather jacket on.

Fraser put down his beer. "Would you like me to accompany you?"

Ray placed his hand on Fraser's shoulder. "Nah. Finish your drink. I'll meet you and Dief back at the apartment later. Shouldn't take too long."

Fraser nodded. "I'll see you soon, Ray."

"Yeah, see you soon."

And then Ray leaned down and kissed Fraser on the mouth before heading for the door.

Why I'm reccing this fic: This is my very favorite Ray/Ray fic. I think it could sell people to the pairing, which of course I would NEVER try to do. Kowalski gets sent to Florida to watch after Vecchio when there is a threat against his life, and he ends up moving in. I love the slow build of this, which I think works so well with this pairing. There is nothing particularly easy about this fic, but it's hot and you can see it, so perfectly.

“Look, are you sure about this?”

“Sure, shmure,” Vecchio said, raising a hand and waving it dismissively as he walked beside Ray. “I’m not gonna give up my pleasures in life just because I may not have much of it left.”

Ray cast nervous glances around the restaurant parking lot. This would be a perfect place for a hit-open and nearly deserted, one of the three lights over the lot burnt out.

“Listen, you’re gonna love this place,” Vecchio was saying. He laid a guiding hand on Ray’s arm to steer him forward. “I never thought I’d go for Afro-Cuban food, but their shrimp dishes are-”

“You got a death wish or somethin’?” Ray demanded.

Vecchio actually laughed at that. “No, Stanley, I got a life wish. Every day I get up and I’m still breathin’, I think, this is a day to live.”

“And if some paisan were to jump outta the bushes right now and blow your fuckin’ head off?”

Vecchio shrugged. “Guess I’d be a little pissed he didn’t wait until after I had the shrimp. But I ain't worried.” He leaned into Ray’s space and poked a finger at Ray’s forehead. “A good paisan, he waits 'til after dinner to ice you.”

Ray stared at him like a tool as Vecchio guided him up the front steps of the restaurant.

Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski/Vecchio
Rating: R
Length: medium
Why I'm reccing this fic: This was the very first threesome fic I ever read, and it made me have a very deep and abiding love for the three of them, together. I love this snapshot of them, years later, Kowalski and Vecchio making a life with each other and Fraser being lonely. If this doesn't make you kind of want to see all three of them happy together (at least a little), your heart may be a cold, lifeless stone. Just sayin'.

Ray jostled past Vecchio to get under the spray, and rinsed the conditioner out of his hair, murmuring as he passed, “He followed us home-can we keep him?”

When he wiped the water out of his eyes, Vecchio was giving him a warning glare. “Don’t even think about it, Kowalski. Fraser’s not into kinky stuff. He’s probably not even queer-why do you think he and I never hooked up way back when?”

“Uh, because you were crammed so deep in the closet you couldn’t even find your own ass?” Ray answered, and flipped the hot water off just as he stepped out of the shower.

Vecchio shrieked like a girl, then swore like a sailor. “I’m gonna get you for that, you little punk!” He turned off the water entirely, flung back the curtain and got serious. “No, I mean it. Don’t screw around here, Kowalski. We’ve got things good, the three of us-”

“Fraser hasn’t,” Ray interrupted, “and now Frobisher’s gone.”

Vecchio wasn’t listening. “-and okay, it’d be hot. It’d be a good time.” Vecchio’s eyes glazed briefly. “Jesus, that mouth.” Ray smirked, and Vecchio smacked him with his towel, and added, “But only if we were all into it. And Fraser would never-”

“Trust me,” said Ray, not promising anything.
