For my final turtle/Turtle recommendations for the month, here are two of my all-time favorites. Both are longer than ficlet size. Both involve elements outside the norm--one cracky and the other sci fi. Both include an outsider's POV of Turtle. And both are wonderful!

Wee Three Penguins or How Ernest, Roald and Fabian met The Wolf and The Turtle (Fraser/RayK, OC/OC, OC/OC/OC)
This is the adorable story of Fraser and Ray's household in Canada, and the mythological resonance it has made through the animal kingdom. It's a wonderful play on viewpoint, where we can see Fraser and Ray's POV on their animal companions, and also the mythos they represent for a set of visitors. One of Lamentables' original characters, in particular, stole my heart and had me rooting for his romantic prospects. So cute!

Kissing in the Street /
Out of Time (Fraser/RayK, Jack/Ianto)
This series of stories starts with Ray getting drunk enough to tell Fraser the story of how he got Turtle. It's interesting enough that I loved it immediately! In future installments, the story crosses over with Torchwood, and Ianto meets Ray's pet. The series is a wonderfully creative and unique portrayal of Turtle that just makes me say, "Cool!"
And that wraps up my recs for the month of my favorite stories involving turtles and Turtle! Next Sunday I'll be asking for your recs, so think about any I've missed.
