Vecchio rolled his eyes again. If he wasn't careful they were gonna stick that way, and since Ray really liked Vecchio's eyes that would be a crying shame.

The sad thing is that I think Kowalski probably also owned a couple of paisley ties, although I'm guessing it was a little earlier in his life...I imagine he wore them with like, contrasting shirts. I have this great picture of my grandfather wearing, like, a pink shirt with blue plaid pants and a green blazer and a paisley tie in completely the wrong color (as a middle aged dude, seriously, my family has NO TASTE, remind me to show you pictures of us Having No Taste Through The Generations), and it is totally how I imagine Kowalski dressing for court in the early eighties.

Also you can totally thank snoopypez for the tie-knot-pulling. Apparently it doesn't show up much in due South which surprises me because it happens, like, every other SECOND in Harry Potter fic, and I decided I must remedy that. Because tie-knot-pulling is like, the hottest thing on earth.
