HEARTS in my EYES for this fic! I literally made grabbyhands gestured and squeed a little when I saw it was posted, and was not at all disappointed. This was terrific! Love that Maggie's Ray's partner. Love Dean and Ray appreciating each other's cars. Love Fraser recognizing Cas for what he was. Love Sam and Maggie all starry-eyed (and why). Just lots and lots of love. and this made me laugh very, very hard:

"An angel?!" interrupted Ray loudly. "Like a 'the angels are going to come down from Heaven and smite you if you play with yourself, Stanley' type angel? No way. Angels have wings and swords, not flasher coats."

"We do not smite humans for masturbation," answered Castiel calmly.

"Good thing," drawled Sam, "or Dean would have bit it at least a thousand more times."

That brought about the brotherly glare of death.

"All right," said Dean. "Enough of the angel-Mountie speed dating thing. We've got shit to do."

And the "angel beats Mountie" exchange - love it too!

That is exactly where I completely lost it, too!

And if Ray's vernacular is funny in contrast with Fraser, it's even funnier up against Castiel's otherworldly deadpan. :D

Thanks! Yeah, when I realized that they both drove American-made black sports cars from 1967, I figured there had to be some male bonding. Plus, they're both ordinary guys who have to deal with weirdness on a daily basis. They would probably have a lot to talk about.
