Happy Valentine's Day! Sorry I didn't get this up sooner - my boss injured herself and someone quit. I got closing shifts (11PM) back to back with opening shifts (6AM) and spent what time I could sleeping. At least the paycheck would be nice, yes?
Anyway, the prompts are sorted by pairing, like last time, so it shouldn't be that difficult to find a prompt you like. But before we get to the prompt selection list, let's get to the nitty-gritty of the few rules.
1. Prompts can only be taken by one person.
2. The photo prompts can be selected as many times as y'all want.
3. If you have an idea not on the list, or the prompt you want someone absconded with? Select prompt 00. 00 is the only prompt more than one person can select, and can be used anyway you want.
4. There are no limits to the amount of prompts you can choose. Just bear in mind that there are others who would want to select prompts.
5. The deadline is May 6th. Just remember that there are prizes for finishing by the deadline, okay?
6. Min. length of fics is 1,000 words. There is no max.
7. Only completed fics should be posted to the comm, and all fics should be beta'ed. Please. Especially if you spell or type like I do. *coughs*
8. Have fun!
P.S. If you want to make covers or artwork instead of write a fic... Go for it. And if you want to write a collab, that's also totally awesome.
P.P.S. Unchosen prompts from last year are intermingled with new ones from this year. New ones can be found at either the front or back of a section, because I'm smart like that *rolls eyes*)
P.P.P.S. I would love anyone who wrote 41 for ever and ever and ever. The end. *hints*

A frightened toddler, Benton didn't know he was his illegitimate toddler or that he was a rising star in the music world. All he knew was that with Robert, his wife, and his band mates, he felt safe. Until the night a botched kidnapping left his little sister dead, and destroyed his happiness. But he survived, carved out a thrilling career, and even fell in love. But the woman he is about to marry isn't all that he seems - and Benton is about to awaken to the chilling knowledge that the darkest secret is the one buried in his mind.
8. RayK's part-time P.I. gigs were run-of-the-mill custody disputes-until he went undercover on the wealthy Fraser estate. Posing as an unobtrusive servant in what was supposed to be a routine case, he soon found himself in serious danger. But with a dead body on his hands and feuding relatives pointing fingers, the only one he could turn to was Ben Fraser-an enigmatic, single father fighting to keep his young daughter. Except joining forces with the ruggedly handsome businessman only made him yearn to drop the charade, which could prove fatal, with a killer prowling the darkest corners of the mansion.
9. From the moment he first saw his son, Alberta rancher Benton Fraser knew the baby he'd adopted was his in every way that mattered. And no one-not even the handsome, strong-willed cop who claimed he was the child's father-was going to change that. Ray Kowalski swore a criminal ring had stolen his baby and that someone was crossing every line to keep the illegal adoption secret. Now, in order to protect one innocent child, Ray made him a tempting offer: get married and share custody. As a businessman, Dylan thought the plan brilliant. But as a man... resisting his "groom," especially as the danger mounted, would be damn near impossible.

His early days in the close-knit town are quiet except for minor disturbances and a dalliance with a feisty bush pilot, Ben Fraser. Then Ben disappears and he has to organize a search and rescue party and bring him back safely.
15. When Ray Kowalski is visited by his “identical twin”, he steels himself for the sort of bitter confrontation that has marked their meetings for years. But when his brother makes an exceptional request, and offers some family land as a bribe, Ray feels his defenses failing. Unable to deny the desperation in his brother's eyes--or the chance to finally inherit some of their family's wealth--he agrees to an unusual charade. Ray will temporarily take his brother's place in the courtship of the beautiful, if possibly mad, Lord Benton Fraser.
The mysterious Lord Benton is as unpredictable as was rumored. After his recovery from a childhood kidnapping, he turned inside to his secret world of silence and the comfort of his lush garden. Though two elderly relatives and an Inuit caretaker have since watched over him, Benton can not communicate, and flees from the external threat that Ray presents.
Unable to dismiss Benton's odd behaviors as insanity, Ray seeks to uncover the source of his pain and the core of his complex personality. Warmed by his patient compassion and gentle encouragement, Benton begins to open up to him. But the pressures of society and the growing threat of his commitment to an asylum force Benton to choose between these two worlds. 60.
61.
62.
63.
64.
Generic prompts some are specific to a character, most are not. First ones are the ones submitted, the ones after are the ones derived from the prompts above.
65: Character A just found himself the guardian of his sister's four kids after his sister and her husband passed away. To keep custody of the children, he needs to marry within the year. Who else to ask but his best friend?
66: Prompt: Character A. is the swan prince(ss). Character B. is the prince(ss).
67. Character A is tired of being the lone failure in his/her family of overachievers. He/she's endured dead-end jobs and a failed engagement/marriage--even his/her hair is a mess! But all that will change now that he/she's taken over his/her dead grandmother's matchmaking business. All he/she has to do is land Character A, Chicago's hottest (rich, good-looking and emotionally unavailable) bachelor, as his/her client and he/she will be the most sought-after matchmaker in town. Nothing is going to stand in his/her way! Not even Character B's insanely unachievable list of requirements in a significant other / status symbol, or the unexpected and inexplicable attraction between him/herself and Character B.
(Bonus subplot):
Nor will A be thwarted in his/her bid to sign on B as a client by Character C, a sleek and glamorous competitor with a fancy established matchmaking business (who is so stressed all he/she really needs is a good lay from B's close friend and co-worker, Character D).
68. Character A is a brilliant (insert geeky, highly intelligent profession here. ex: Mathematician, physicist, astronomer) but when it comes to the real world, he is so absent-minded he needs a keeper. Up to this point in his life, his sister has worked as his "personal assistant" (fancy title for Keeper). Now she is marrying the man of her dreams and needs to find exactly the right person to help look after her precious brother. Never before realizing the extent to which he was being coddled, Character A resents the idea of a babysitter. (Like how to drive a car.)
69. Character A inherits a cabin + fortune in the far north from a distant relative. He goes to inspect the inheritance and finds himself obligated to marry Character B in order to inherit. They end up on B's elderly (classic!) boat, having been told by some friendly locals A knows that B is secretly really a US government agent. A is dismayed to find that B is, however, an apparently ill-educated, scruffy and disreputable man who likes a drink and can out-curse a longshoreman; although luckily B is good with engines. B doesn't want anything to do with A, since he's in the middle of a case, but is reluctantly impressed by - and attracted to - A's feistiness, intelligence, and determination. Between fighting with each other (and playing tonsil hockey, of course), B helps A escape the frame-up, and A helps B catch the bad guys. Dog helps too, by being very brave and very loyal, and biting lots of bad guys.

From the way C spoke, A had thought C was betting a racehorse or a beloved pet or a car or something, and is horrified to find B is actually a person. A of course immediately releases B from the conditions of the bet, but to no avail.
B is so furious to have been gambled away like so much property, s/he proclaims s/he will honor the terms of the bet, and spend six weeks (or however long a span of time was wagered) with A. Over the course of the following six (or however many) weeks, B makes him/herself a general nuisance to A, hanging around, refusing to leave, offering to do nice things for him/her, freely offering his/her opinion about A's wardrobe, home, dating habits, diet and general lifestyle, rearranging things A didn't want rearranged and messing up things A didn't want messed up--in short, turning A's orderly life upside down.
