I love the conceit you've created for this story about the shapechangers and how they work. It suits RayK's bizarre situation beautifully.

What an incredible story! I can't get over how well it all fits together. You only hint at want is going to happen, but when it does it feels natural and right. I hurt for both Ray anf Fraser, and the ending was simply gorgeous.

“Could you be yourself now, please?” Fraser will ask, and Ray will beam at him, incredulous, delighted, and become himself again.

And that will be exactly, exactly what Fraser wants.

This makes me feel so sorry for RayK. What a hard life that must be. It's not something I'd wish anyone.

That said, this is a really beautiful story. Ray's ability fits his character and his position (in the show's storyline).
I love the glimpses we get of other abilites, like the girl becoming invisible. It's like there's a whole universe behind this story.

And that will be exactly, exactly what Fraser wants.
YAY! I'm a sucker for happy ends. And this is really nice.

whoa, coooooool! Right at the moment the reveal of Ray's secret began, I thought to myself, wow, this story is almost making more sense than the show. :) Very satisfying how this story stays close to canon, and the emotional dynamics of it while using the concept of shapeshifting. Delightful story, I love it.
