And his purpose. An AMAZING explanation for the Victoria arc. Also an amazing explanation for Kowalski's sudden appearance in the storyline, his parents, and how he got his name.
This might just be the most chilling sentence in this whole dark story:
It's going to be a long time before she sees her mother....and it's about a character we never even meet, but...a child! Purgatory! And Fraser, oh, God, Fraser is mortal, and yet he knows this. Knows too much. *cries ( ... )

Beautiful story arc; yes, I'd like to see more in this 'verse but if not, it stands magnificently on its own.

This is just such a compelling, dark and well-thought-out story. It works so well from start to finish and... honestly, it slays me.
The roles you've given each of them, they fit so well. This is so completely AU and yet I can still see our characters in this.
If anyone ever said whimsy can't be dark and serious, you've proven them wrong. This was dark, but not in a bad way, because there's still hope. Fraser can heal and he can get Vecchio back and I'd like to believe that Kowalski gets his redemption too.
This story will stay with me for a long time.
Great work!

That was completely my intention :) I think the pervasive attitude toward whimsy is that it equals crack, and I wanted to show that it doesn't.
Thanks for commenting, and I'm glad you liked it!

The story is incredibly well written, and it feels so tangible. The images and the sounds of voices, the feeling of wind, it's all so solid, like we were dropped into this fully formed world just as Ray was.
And oh ow for everybody! Dead or doomed to forget! But there's hope, right? I'm not imagining the hope? *clings to hope*

Nah, this was just a slice out of it. No plans at all to write more here.
Feel free to imagine whatever you want out of this. I don't generally explain what's going on, even though I have my own definate view; I like it when people can take different things out of the same story, so what you see in it is your own :)
Thanks!

and Vecchio!! Vecchio loves Kowalski so much! The framed PICTURE of them! Going to get him off the roof!
and poor sad Fraser. thanks for the hopeful ending, i really appreciate it. :) although aw, i hope Vecchio doesn't really forget Kowalski.
ALSO DIEF DOESN'T LIKE TO DWELL ON THE OTHER HALF. that was FUCKING AWESOME.

As for a hopeful ending, I think Fraser is some strange embodiment of hope. That man never gives up (except when he does, but then he seems to muster himself again) so where Fraser goes, where his friends go, I think there will always be hope.
Dief if a tempermental half wolf, and touchy about his heritage :D
Thanks for reading!
