Awww, this was very cute and I love the structure of it. And also, the whole nun case was hilarious until Ray was basically STABBED. ;P

Yay, boys! :D And DIEF! <3

Thank you, hilariousness is always something I aspire to.

I don't aspire to stabbing. *shakes head*

I love the coin tosses and how they illustrate the care and restraint with which Fraser has learned to manage his condition. Which, in turns, seems to have straight-jacketed him, I think. I bet Ray can help shake him out of that a little. ;)

Loved it.

Thank you, Anonymous One. I found the idea of Fraser trapped like that, very compelling. (It is possible I over-identify with Fraser.)

This really does veer wildly from manic crack to violence and grief.

Something about the story, especially as segmented into the stages of grief, makes me think that Fraser's special power is a delusion. Losing his mother was terrible, and it was all his fault for misusing his power, but at least that means it was also under his control. *shivers*

It may, or may not be a delusion. Me+unreliable narrator = OTP

Hmmm, very interesting story! I liked the structure a lot, and you posed a really interesting question for the readers: is Fraser's "power" real, or does he simply have an enormous capacity to feel responsible for everything, good and bad, that happens to the people around him? It's a neat question, and I liked the way you explored some of those complexities in the story. I hope you'll return to this concept some day - it's such a terrific premise to use in exploration of Fraser's complicated relationship with ethics and accountability. Thanks for the interesting read, Anonymous!

I'm not sure I have the capacity to write the novel I think further exploration demands.

Thanks for the thoughtful response.
