It takes the end of the world for them to admit to their feelings? Oh, boys. Okay, I actually find this very romantic. Though, okay, with the impending death thing I guess it's angsty as well. At any rate, I like it, especially all the details in Ray's journey, and that very sweet kiss.

It's not romantic! It's STEALTH ANGST! *nod nod nod*

Thanks for taking the time to read. I'm glad you liked it.

You create such a great sense of end-of-the-world quiet here, it's lovely, and like luzula said, the details of Ray's journey and Fraser's last day at his post are wonderful. I love that Ray is in conflict, helping with his fists, and Fraser is helping a family-both of those things seem really right for them. And it's fascinating that the saddest thing about this fic isn't the fact that the world is ending, but that they wasted so much time that came before. It's a great last, precious moment of honesty, though, and I love the way they strip themselves down to essentials at the very end.

Thank you so much for your lovely detailed comment. I loved the film "Last Night" and I've often wondered how Ray and Fraser would react to that scenario. It's a shame, but I think Fraser would have died alone with only his duty for solace rather than be the first to say something.

So was I! I wasn't sure as I was writing it that they would be together at the end, but I'm a wuss, and I couldn't break them when it came to it. *sheepish grin*
