ADMIN: DS Match info post - timeline, end-of-fest details

Nov 02, 2007 13:31

We are now halfway through posting the DS Match stories (woohooo!), so it's probably time we explained how the end-of-match stuff is going to work.

Saturday 10th November -- The stories for the final prompt are posted.

Friday 16th November -- Voting closes on all stories, the Masterlist is posted, and the author names and beta notes are edited into the individual posts on this community. The mods gaze in terror at the massive number of votes they have to turn into results. *g*

Monday 19th November -- Time to break out the champagne! The results are announced and teams are able to collect their Winner/Runner-up banners and icons!

As you can see, we're allowing nearly a week for catching up on stories you haven't read yet, and registering your votes. So don't panic if you're behind -- there's plenty of time!

But wait, there's more!

Any players or backup writers who either wrote a backup story that didn't end up being posted as part of the official team effort, or who had to drop out of the fest because they couldn't meet their deadline but still managed to finish their story, or who wrote any extra stories for their prompt -- we'd love you to post your stories on the community between the 16th and 19th of November (during the vote tallying period). We'll add them to the Masterlist in that case.

Note: I know we said we'd post them anonymously for you, but it makes more sense to save them until after the catch-up period, and by then, authors' names will have already been revealed.

Want to join in the fun? There's still a chance!

After the winners have been announced and the Match is wrapped up, the next challenge on ds_flashfiction will be the full list of prompts used for DS Match, giving you the chance to write your own Due South stories from the prompts. \o/

Any questions or problems please just ask, but in the meantime -- read, enjoy, vote!

Note: All times and dates are Chicago CDT/CST.
