Oh, this is wonderful! Totally adorable.I love the idea of Vecchio opening up a matchmaking business, and Stella trying to get Ray set up with someone. And the baseball game was awesome. And the hockey. And the dinner with Ray's parents. And the Tom Yom soup. :-)

This was great! I don't normally like AUs, but this worked like a charm. I adored the idea that Ray was supposed to hook up with one of those women and Ben just surprised the hell out of everybody, including himself.

It was wonderfully written and fleshed out, a true delight. I found myself grinning through most of it and that makes for a hell of a fun story.

I'm surprised you liked it. I thought you couldn't stand Ray Vecchio and didn't want to see him in any fanfiction. Well, sorry - he's a big part of Fraser's life as his best friend, and you can't ignore him. I still don't understand why you don't at least respect like the friendship that he has with Fraser, and badmouth him.

and i just LOVED this bit, it was SO RAY i could see it:

"The Queen? The Queen?" Ray added more height to the hops in his sideways stride. "Ooo, Canadians!" Ray screwed up his face and balled his fists in frustration, and Ben smiled inwardly. "I'd like to see the Queen interrogate some dirtbag that's been slipping roofies to girls. I'll bet ten minutes in she'd be whackin' him with her handbag." He mimed it in midair.

Especially how everybody knew before them. And Dief was perfect, I adored the line about the "team effort" regarding the flowers for Ray's mom.
