Fandom: Due South
Current Fic Word Count/Podfic or Vid length/rough percentage of Art created: All three podfics drafted! Short #1 has been beta-ed but not edited yet; Short #2 has been alpha-ed is in the process of being edited up to beta-worthiness; Modest Proposal has been sent off to beta. What I Like About the Fanwork so far: I have really been enjoying reading Resonant's text. I'm particularly pleased with how several of the scenes came out, including one of the sex scenes (which are still a struggle for me in general, so I'm especially happy with that one).
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: The bits where characters interrupt each other, which work great on the page, and would make fine theater, but are hard to read with a single reader. Scenes with several secondary characters; in general, I'd like to have more distinctive voices for the secondary characters than I've managed so far, but I haven't decided whether it bothers me enough to completely re-do those scenes. And the fact that I recorded the draft of Modest Proposal over several months, leading to main-character voice-drift.
Anything Else: Front-loading this project like crazy because I need to be pretty much finalized by the first-draft deadline, since that's about the time that my hobby-time gets swallowed by non-fandom-related project. And because I'll be traveling a bunch this summer.
