Ok, so Gary was a motherfucker, but all he did was spam items, he wasn't nearly AS frustrating as this bitch. FUCK FUCK I have to train all my pokemons up to lvl 60 now to have a chance ;_; I barely survived elite 4 and then BAM GARCHOMP RAPES MY ASS.
Feels bad man.
But you know, I know that, when I finally beat her, it'll feel so good. I actually imagine myself having a nerd mini orgasm.
Other than that, the game is enjoyable. Of course, there's a bunch of shit I have to get used to now that I find beyond unnecessary, like the personalities. Wat. I mean c'mon. I don't have the heart to go around catching and releasing pokemon because they have a personality I don't like, I'm not an asshole like Paul (Yes, I am very aware that my pokemon aren't alive beings that feel, thank you very much, but it still feels wrong ;_;)
Let me tell you, in my times, back in Red and Blue and Silver and Gold (Silver and Gold being my favorites) they didn't have personalities. You just catched it, trained it, and that was it. We didn't have dual types either, not until silver/gold, and there weren't nearly as many either.
And now I feel old.
Anyway, I don't know how I feel about the contests. I haven't tried them but they sound like a hassle, with the whole "learn moves that will give a appeal" and of course, the personalities, the fact that you have to COOK with berries that you have to take care of yourself, and make sure they're of the liking of your pokemon, and... fuck it, just fuck it. Call me lazy, but it's too much stuff. Now, I know it's all to take you out of the whole "lol fight, walk, fight, walk, random encounter, walk" routine, but I feel they added just, TOO much stuff.
Now, about the characters. Lucas is really bland (Considering that I'm playing as Dawn, the silent princess) and doesn't appear much, and Barry is SO DAMN ANNOYING. He's worse in the anime, though. But I hate him. It's like, back in Blue and Silver, when the rivals prepared to rape me, I would just bend over gladly. They were likeable rivals, one was a funny asshole and the other one was a bitter asshole that later changed to a decent person. But Barry is like INSANE, It's like he drinks coffee and has ADD or something, running around all the time. I swear he probably went through the 8 gyms in like 5 days. Pairing with him for double battles is the worst because he's usually useless and only is there to take hits for me, so basically, he's my punching bag.
I hate you Barry.
The graphics are beautiful, and it's so much fun. There are some new HMs, too. Also, as most of the pokemon in this game are new to me, it felt like playing one of the old games all over again, rediscovering types, fighting and wondering what the hell is a "Glyscor" and with what should I fight it, it really is kind of nostalgic. The VS seeker is an amazing addition, too. It fixes all money problems once you get a rich kid to fight with, so no item problems there.
About the anime? Well, I'm going to watch it again soon, as we have an episode with PAUL (FUCK YES), BARRY (Who happens to be a Paul fangirl in the anime), and INFERNAPE. HOW AWESOME IS THAT. Just add Cynthia (Who is pedo for Paul, Ash and Dawn) and we have delicious threesome)
