Maybe someone can explain to me why someone like Yuugi can still be a champion duelist for this long when he doesn't even seem to put any effort into what he's supposedly good at?

Fine, maybe a little. Call it a grudge at best. But even with me close to hitting rock bottom, and I hate saying this, but everything feels almost normal. And average.
