The suite is empty. The roomies are probably out partying after the football game with their boys. Then there's me of course, who just got back from work. The original plan was to confidently walk home with my keys between my fingers to ward off any predators, but one of my coworkers lives on campus too and called this unr ride service called "campus escort." I wasn't really looking forward to running away from Reno weirdos while carrying a bag of coffee and sandwiches, so that free ride was pretty nifty. Unfortunately they're not allowed to take you straight from Starbucks to a double keger at some house near campus, like my coworker was hoping. But I think they took him anyway, 'cause the girls driving were cool like that.

Starbucks has only been scheduling me for the weekends, about 15-20 hrs. a week, and I have a feeling it'll stay that way. I applied online for this serving job at a Chinese/Greek restaurant called Blue Plate. They advertised as being very flexible with a college student's school schedule, they're only open during lunch hours, and I'd work less than 15 hrs. a week there. I got an email from them asking me to fill out an application, but unforunately they only want people who are staying in Reno for the summer, which I don't plan on doing. I'm thinking I should just lie and in May I can say an emergency came up and I have to go home once school's over.

...For the rest of the school year, I'll continue to spend my Friday nights in my dorm room eating leftover sandwiches on stale bread from work or hot dogs and fruit I stole from the dining commons, like I just did a few minutes ago. Or I can do what I did last Friday and go to a frat party. Boy, that was awesome. Warm Keystone Light and standing around not knowing what to do- now that's a good time.
