Jeff is dying. Jeff has been my mother's boyfriend for 11 years, and more of a father figure than my father. Currently, he is in a coma at Good Samaritan. His liver is failing. His brother died of liver failure 8 years ago at the age of 38. Jeff turned 40 five days ago. If he survives today and remains in the hospital, he has approximately 6 months
