Morrison was right. People do want something sacred...and the only thing sacred is now. This moment. This very second. The past is profit. No one can make a profit off of right now. Life is sacred and dear and precious and we should treasure every FUCKING moment we're on this earth. Take nothing for granted. Accept the bad with the good. Life can't ( Read more... )

I admire your words of wisdom. I believe that pain is a neccesity to gain a certain deepness.

not exactly 'deepness'...pain is necessary to gain a certain happiness. A certain appreciation for the good things. Learning from experience seems to be one of few effective ways.

How Many Times Were You Dropped As A Child? anonymous December 14 2003, 03:36:26 UTC
I figured I'd type out my subject first to keep myself on track. That said it looks like an Emo title cause it's so damn long. Ever notice how Emo song titles are like, "My Girlfriend Dumped Me For Some Guy With No Heart And A Trans Am And I'm More Sensitive Than He Could Ever Be And I Cried One Tear For Every Moment We Shared?" Yeah. Some Emo is cool but there gets to be a point where it's more whining than music. So much for my staying on the subject plan. Anyways, where was I. I wish life would be perfect. That would be super. If anybody else wants to go live in a hell-hole to see how real their happiness is be my guest. Treasuring every moment though? Sounds like a lot of work. I never did like work. And if everybody treasured every moment not a whole hell of a lot would get done. I hope somebody likes making sandwiches for a certain person--namely a person who sometimes goes by Dane--so that I don't starve to death while I'm busy searching for deeper meaning. I want some happiness now. Ever wonder why musicians always become more ( ... )

Yes, the title of this entry was way too fucking emo for it's own good, I'll give you that...but when I started writing, that's how I was feeling. Very Emotional. I was feeling angry at first, but then realized that I had no reason to be angry. I had a great day, and shouldn't have taken it for granted. As for the music...I'm not a huge fan of the doors. I like them, just not a favorite. I actually prefer Corgan and Cobain. Scott Stapp was eaten by wolves while on a tragic camping trip. As for the hate mail, there will be no such thing! With all honesty, I appreciate your comments and opinions. Feel free to keep em' coming.

Holy Shit... It's Good? anonymous December 15 2003, 19:13:13 UTC
After multiple bouts the inner demon in me finally scored a K.O. on my music Crap-O-Meter and forced me to pick up the new Strokes album. All signs were pointing to it being shitty. Rolling Stone gave it a high rating and did everything short of drop down on one knee and marry it. The kids who wear Good Charlotte and Simple Plan t-shirts with their neatly spiked hair traded them in for some retro looking Strokes ones, tight jeans, and started to let their hair go. Then there was the one fact that I couldn't get over... I bought their first album the day it came out hoping for more goodness along the lines of Last Night, but instead was was bombarded with loads of bullshit that brought certain four letter words to mind. But despite wanting it to bomb and sound like a derailed train deep down inside, it was good. A scary kind of 80's good. Looks like I'll need to pick up another cd to use as a coaster for my furtiture I don't have. I guess what I'm trying to say in this whole comment is... water rings can turn a perfectly good box ( ... )

Try listening to Hard To Explain without this part, much less the whole song, getting stuck in your head.

I missed the last bus
I'll take the next train
I'll try, but you see
It's hard to explain
I say the right thing
But act the wrong way
I like it right here
But I cannot stay
I'm watching T.V.
Forget what I'm told
Well I am too young
And they are too old
The joke is on you
This place is a zoo
You're right, it's true
