I found myself reading the latest issue of rolling stone this morning. I anxiously awaited reading the charts, where the Beatles 'Let it be...naked' sits proudly at number 5. I sip fruit juice and attempt to recall a quote I had taped to my wall some 18 months ago. It goes a little something like this...

"40 years later, The Beatles are still saving the industry's ass."

"The industry" = the blood sucking whore that produces a different band every week, with the soul purpose of bringing in a dollar. Yeah, it's all about the music, man. Fuck that. Their selling an image, and you're buying right into it. *note* Free thinkers don't create profit. So in essence, their target audience is so tragically clear; Teenagers that are utterly confused about themselves, their surroundings and the precious sounds that hit the drums of their ears. Someone is making a profit from your youth, and along with that youth, comes ignorance. Ignorance sells. When someone is fed enough bull shit,they'll believe just about anything. Exceptionally tight pants/black rimmed glasses/tats/piercings and/or anything else you find to be common among a certain stereotype, still don't sell as well as common, everyday ignorance. If knowing the difference between REAL music and pre packaged shit makes me pretentious, so be it.
