happenings in life...

Feb 28, 2007 04:03

Well, i must say first off that i need to start posting in my LJ more often- july 2006 to february 2007 is far to much of a gap.

For starters Devon and I have been doing much better than ever, we don't fight much like we used to and devon told me shes feeling much better about us.  that is a good sign for me.  we seem to talk more and that is also awesome.  i missed feeling whole and at least now i feel like i am again.  i feel the closest to her as i have ever been since our wedding, hopefully we can keep it this way for good.

other than that, my grandfather passed away about a week ago, which was very unfortunate, my grandmother and mom and her entire side took it very hard.  As for me, i'm just glad he didn't have to suffer very long, he told my mother he wanted to die and was ready to when he got really sick with the cancer.  at least he was able to see the end before it hit him and get things prepared so he could rest at ease when the time finally came.  i think his spirit will rest better now as a result.

aside from that gloom, life has been remotely good otherwise, and improving as it goes.  i suppose another set back that has been recently bothering me is a falling out i am having with a few of my best friends, just communication breaking to cause strife or misunderstanding.  it really is bugging me, i know i could just talk it through with them and apologize for the situation and get on with it- but this time i honestly don't see where i'm in the wrong or at least not to the extent of how they seem to think i am, which is what is mostly what bugs me, and i could just let them have more of my feelings about it blatant and harsh, but i don't think they deserve that either.  i really think this one is going to take a while to figure out.

good news however... i finally finally have the opportunity to upgrade my computer entirely instead of just patchwork upgrading as i go, i've been wanting to do this for years and in a lot of ways desperately needed it (computer crashing, hard drives failing, bugs galore, etc.) and finally we worked out a way to do it and not kill our budget or anything.

heres the low-down on what i'll be running soon this weekend: asus a8r32-mvp crossfire 3200 chipset motherboard with an athlon x2 4600 dual-core 2.4ghz processor, 4Gb of low-latency DDR2 RAM, an ATI x1950 crossfire edition video card w/ 512gb GDDR4 and supports shader 3.0, 2 SATA 3.0 Gb/s 250Gb hard drives set up in RAID (most likely) all inside of a antec performance one P180 super-quiet case powered by a crossfire certified 750 thermaltake modular cabled- power supply and packed with 4-5 120mm variable speed case fans and a 120mm Ruby Orb processor fan to keep the whole thing cool.  .

... suffice it to say i'm going to have an Ultimately kewl weekend of gaming coming up when its all put together.

other than that - life is going as normal- day in day out- likely will be applying with my sister's company berbee for a excellent opportunity coming up this summer to finally hopefully get my career in computers off the ground.

until another post (hopefully sooner) i'm signing out for the evening.
