R.I.P. Nissan Stanza 1991 - March 20, 2007

Mar 21, 2007 11:18

so it's the end of an era.

yesterday, i found my grandfather in his garage, and he looked distraught. so i'm all, "what's wrong" and he's like "the nissan stanza is no more...i crashed it."

so i was just like, "holy shit!" and i felt really bad because that was the cheech mobile, man. i passed my road test with that thing. some idiot from arlington got my buddah into an accident. i mean, he was really down: he actually had tears in his eyes, and that's way peculiar, as i have never seen him cry before, despite the innumerable funerals and wakes i've seen him at.

he kind of wandered into the kitchen after that with this stunned little expression on his cute little face and he was like, "i have a heavy heart", to which my grandmother replied, "jesus, it's not like someone died!" but i empathize, i really do. the cheech mobile was awesome. for the rest of the evening, he was kind of carrying a box of kleenex with him =/

so this entry is dedicated to you, little nissan. you constantly needede repairs, made unearthly noises, and your brakes weren't so hot. you also tended to produce more smoke than was considered possible for such a small automobile, and honestly, there was many an instance while i was driving you that i thought i would be propelled to a quick death. nonetheless, you will be missed.
