manifesto help.
Hello all!
I'm going to be putting together the John/Bobby/Rogue essay for the Shippers Manifesto, and I was wondering if I could get some feedback, recs, comments, whatever that all y'all might have. Instead of focusing specifically on stories that are written about John Bobby and Rogue all together in one big fluffy (or angst-ridden) bed, I want to focus on stories that look at the various dynamics that arise between and effect all three of them, even if the three of them aren't all romantically involved together when all is said and done.
For example, one of the stories that made me want to write this manifesto in the first place was ashe_frost's Just Like Wuthering Heights, which is technically a John/Bobby, Bobby/Rogue story but that explores how all three of them are locked in a highly-charged, emotional and unbalanced situation. (it's like a water molecule, really...) Another good example is makishef's Auf Achse.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone wanted to weigh in (Hate Rogue? Love John? Prefer dark!Bobby? Write abused!John?) or even just toss a link to a good story. Like I said, it doesn't have to be strictly Bobby/John/Rogue. I'm also looking for stories that have really strong or interesting characterizations of any of the characters, that I can use for the character study section of the manifesto.
...oh, and I was wondering (those of you that write any permutation of John/Bobby/Rogue) what music inspires it or helps you write. I bought the Franz Ferdinand album the other day and the whole thing SCREAMS John Bobby and Rogue.
