Ok its shorter that the first one and i dont like it as much.
John didn't say one word to him for three days and that in itself was enough to drive Bobby insane. But no John had to go a lot further and he had given Bobby all his stuff back including the tops they used to share, now John wouldn't even look at him. Not one look and Bobby couldn't think of one thing that he had dont that would have made John act this way.
Bobby sighed as his room mate slammed the door on his way to have a shower and something hit the floor to his left. He shut his eyes which didn't help in blocking out the mental images that were coming to him of John in the shower. With his perfectly tanned and warm body. His perfect chest that his shirts always clung to. Bobby was sure John knew that when he wore these shirts it was to drive him crazy.
Bobby couldn't remember seeing John after his dance with Jubilee on the night of the school dance and wondered if John went off with one of the girls. The moment Bobby thought it he wished he hadn’t, the thought went through him like a knife. Bobby forced his eyes open and looked around their room and saw something that hadn’t been their before. The little book with the red cover, which he saw Johnny write in every night.
Bobby didn't register standing up or walking over to where the book was he just registered holding it in his hand and running his hand over the cover. Everything John thought was in this book, Everything John did was in this little book; everything John had ever felt towards anyone was in this little red book. Bobby heard the shower turn on and ran his hand along the little red books spine. He couldn't resist the temptation of knowing what was going through the pyromaniacs head.
Bobby flicked to the last page that had been written it and smiled to se John’s familiar writing. It was only a short passage but it took Bobby a long time to read. It read
Why am I doing this to myself, I have GOT to stop thinking about him his smile, his laugh, the way he gets when he eats ice cream, WHY, WHY, WHY!! He would never like me like the way I like him. I can’t imagine the shit people would give him if I told him how I felt. Why do I have to hang around with a group of fucken homophobes…? I can’t help it. I LOVE ICEMAN… fuck there I said it. I never thought I would.
Bobby read it. Then reread it. He couldn't stop looking at the page. He just couldn't take in what he was reading, the way John, HIS Johnny was writing about him. It was like he knew everything about him. Bobby ran his hand over the page then flicked back a couple of pages to the night of the dance. He paused before he read. Not sure if he wanted to know what it said. He started reading from the middle of the page.
…The fucken Popsicle! Why couldn't he have just asked me to dance? I hate it and I can’t believe right near the end of the night he looked at me. But no the idiot had to dance with fucken Jubilee. The little bitch she is the only one I told that I like him. I was so close tonight to telling him I liked him. I would do it now, but now I think about it he’ll properly hit me, hell I couldn't give a shit but damn I know he will never look at me the same way. I would not be able to live with that. FUCK! I hate Jubilee.
Bobby realized he wasn’t breathing. He couldn't get a grip on what John had written. The way John felt about him god this must be a prank. This was properly Rogue seeing if Bobby was well and truly over her. God how could she know though. He had never once spoken of John to Rogue after he left, maybe she guessed because Bobby was shaken up after John left and he did save Johns life on Alcatraz but Bobby told her that it was just because he was so young. Or is that what Bobby wanted himself to believe? He knew he loved the pyromaniac. But was he sure this wasn’t a trick. Bobby thought for so long he didn't hear the shower stop. He only realized how long he must have been looking at the Diary for when he heard John’s unmistakable voice.
“What the fuck are you doing?”
Bobby’s eyes darted up. John was only wearing a towel but the expressions on Johns face told Bobby one thing. That the little red book was no joke.
