Summary: Bobby and company go to the bar. John runs out of gas while on the run. Justin wakes up, and is his usual unstable self.

Hmm. I dunno. John has just sort of gone through a major personal change. Sure, that doesn't make him all sage and stuff, but what it has given him is some new insight into his own life.

John has run from everything in his life that he hasn't liked. He hid from his parents to avoid his father's wrath as a child, he ran from both of his foster homes, he ran from his problems with Bobby and Marie...

He's sick of it. He used to think that leaving was his only option, that it was how you dealt with things you didn't like. But now he realizes that if he really wants something, anything really, in his life then he has to buck up and stand up for himself and go get it himself.

No more following. No more wallowing in his own self-pity and using it as an excuse for anything and everything.

He sees that same behaviour in Justin, and it annoys the fuck out of him because it reminds him of himself. That's why he's able to be so articulate about it.

Sure, I should have broken that speech up with interjections and arguments from Justin, but in the end it doesn't alter it's validity... at least, not with the John that I've constructed.

Does that make sense to you?

It makes perfect sense, and now you explin it all I get it more. I should have got that being a language/lit major. But w/o interjections he did come across a bit Xavier-like....and for John that's a bit weird.

With that said resolute John in combination with the Aleks/Justin?bobby situation seems like the best is yet to come!
