6 more weeks of winter, huh? Oh well, no big. :)
So, last time I left off, I was still in the training mode at work, and about a week later, I actually went to training in Norcross, where IKON's headquaters are located. A good break from work, especially since I got to get off work early, and not worry about taking the train home, as this was a good opportunity for Alex and I to hang out, since I was so close to his work.
The learning curve at work is still going on, but I'm starting to get annoyed with IKON. Not my co-workers or my bosses, but the adminstration portion of IKON. You see, back in the day, IKON used to send our paychecks to our respective sites via courier. Well, they apparently decided that was too expensive, so they started really pushing direct deposit and their e-pay online stuff (which I haven't researched yet). Since I don't have a checking account over here yet, they're going to mail my check to me, which is fine, and I'd receive on Saturday at the end of January. So, I wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. Today is Feb. 5th and I *STILL* haven't received my first paycheck! They've stopped payment on the first check and told me that they'd UPS me a check out for Saturday, Feb. 4th. Guess what didn't come on Saturday? You got it! My paycheck! My God, if this shit happens again at the end of this week, I'm not waiting until Wednesday to end this, I'm going down to IKON headquarters myself and get it taken care of. This is really ridiculous.
In other news, I went to an Atlanta Thrashers game on Tuesday. They were up 2-1 at the end of the 1st period, only to lose 5-2. That makes me 0-3 in seeing the Thrashers, but hey, at least they scored this time! In my previous two Thrashers games, they were outscored 12-0, and that was *before* they made rule changes to open up the scoring! :)
Nothing else much to tell. I have a non-existent social life (nothing new for me), but maybe that'll change later on down the road. Who knows. If not, oh well.
Laundry time. Later all.
