So I started this post last week, but I realized I was missing caps, so now that I have them (I think), let's return to Season 4 and high school.
Every high school show needs to have a prom episode. The problem here is that SV's episode, while quite enjoyable and with some notable performances (Annette O'Toole), it fails in comparison to Buffy. Now it may be unfair to compare the two, but while I've seen "Spirit" a few times I have only been able to watch Buffy's Prom ep once. Because it ripped my heart OUT! I swear I used a box of kleenex watching that one.
Anyhoo, shall we get back to Spirit? Because it is a fun little ep.
Oh and
apieceofcake, I have quite a few Jensen caps in this one. Enjoy them while you can, I'm almost at Season 5!
There's a band.
There's pretty decorations (and Jonathon!)
And why is Chloe beating up Mr. Kent?
And why is she setting the school on fire??
Ok so Smallville seems to be a fan of the "lets show them the start of the story and then flashback...But really they do that waaay to often. Off the top of my head there's this ep, Thirst and crap, what is it called? the one where they are in Chicago and Lex gets shot in the head...was it Chicago? Or was it Detroit? I should really look this stuff up...
FLASHBACK!
Lana and Chloe discuss the Prom. Does it seem weird to anyone else that Chloe is the one who wants everybody at the prom?
Chloe thinks it is disgraceful that Lana wants to skip it...
Although Lana is correct. Taking your boyfriend, the ex-Football Coach would be pretty tacky.
Lana and Chloe find out from the "snooty" crowd that Chloe is up for Prom Queen.
Chloe is not impressed.
Somewhere on the grounds of The Mansion...
Hmmmmm. A leg. That can't be good.
Jason appears out of nowhere.
Lex doesn't like the fact that Jason is there.
Jason seems quite shocked at seeing a dead body.
Uh oh. It's Brigette Crosby.
Jason says he recognizes her name from the research he's been doing for Lex.
Lex dismissed Jason. I love how Lex does that over-the-shoulder command. He knows his minions will carry out his wishes.
Lex is thoughtful.
Back at the Torch office, Clark and Chloe discuss the Prom.
Clark 'fesses up to being in on Chloe's Prom Queen nomination. (He looks so cute here)
Chloe is annoyed that Clark is skipping Prom as well.
Chloe tells Clark that the future looks pretty bright for him.
Clark is still confused by Chloe's cryptic comments.
The wannabe Prom Queen goes over her pre-Prom to-do list.
First up is finding a new date as her boyfriend has thrown her over.
Dawn decides that Clark is a good choice!
However, Dawn has fallen prey to the SV "Never talk on your cellphone while driving" plot device and has had an accident.
Conveniently there are meteor rocks present.
Dawn has scrambled up the hill after her accident and is looking for help. Martha Kent is driving down the same road. Her truck actually passes through Dawn. Hmmmm.
