Smallville Season 3 Crisis...

...or as I like to call it, THE END OF ADAM.

Finally!

Pete and Lana work at a crisis centre? When would Lana have the time? I mean Pete could, we've barely seen him for a few eps and he had to be spending his time somewhere. But Lana?

The time-shifting of the ep threw me off completely since I hadn't expected it. But as Lex said: Look, Clark, I'm no expert on quantum tunneling or wormholes, but if minds like Einstein and Thorne believe time anomalies are possible, who am I to rule it out?

And I love the exchange between Lionel and Lex about the vials. John Glover and Michael Rosenbaum are made of awesome. AWESOMENESS!!!

Lex: Although, they would raise a few eyebrows at the Daily Planet.

Lionel: You know, you don't have to resort to threats, Lex, if you want to shut this project down.

Lex: I must not be making myself clear. I came back to LuthorCorp to be a partner, not a paper pusher. This new project can make the company billions of dollars. I don't want it shut down. I want to be put in charge of it.
****

Lionel doesn't seem sure if he should be proud or terrified. And of course at the end of the ep we find out why...

Clark gets all nice and bossy with Lex when he tells him that he knows about the lab. Ah the CLex. *sigh*

Then things get all wonky. Noone seems to be able to change the future and Lana, of course, gets nabbed by Adam. The same Adam who has killed Dr. Teng and the others in the lab. And Daddy Luthor of course has it set up so that Lex can get arrested for it, which would remove Lionel's involvement in the project. Nice Dad you got there Lex! And of course turn about is fair play. Lex gets the charges dropped and in enters the FBI agent, with whom Lex cuts a deal to have Daddy arrested. Nice son you got there Lionel!

Everything else goes along like normal. Clark saves Lana and then lies to her about how he did it.

And the OMG WTF? Lionel's dying? Watching this ep explained a bunch of stuff for me, as I'd missed a bunch of eps after this one and hadn't known about this part of the story. The sight of Lionel sticking a gun in his mouth was disturbing. The fact that he didn't pull the trigger fits more into his character. It's not likely Lionel would give up like that.

Do we want pic!spam? Of course we do!!!!
