Smallville Season Three - Asylum
Asylum. Yay! An episode I had actually seen before!!!!
I liked Asylum. It wasn't as good as Shattered, but still enjoyable to watch.
Two of my favourite quotes:
Lionel: It's sad to see a man who's lost his mind. But it's tragic when he's convinced himself that he's sane.
Ian: I know I've made some mistakes in the past ... but I'm better now.
Lex: And I'm happy for you ... both of you. Now take your little cart and go sucker someone else with a bank account.
In the same way I enjoyed when they brought back Ryan, I was pleased to see these three "Freaks" come back, although technically Van is the Anti-Freak. And I completely enjoyed Jonathon Taylor Thomas as Ian, although the way they get the second Ian out of his back makes me squirm and reminds me of something from Aliens or Total Recall.
Clark try to get to Lex' rescue, along with his fight with the Ian and Eric is decent enough. Lana/Adam barely even registers. I was not impressed with the Adam character at all through the end of the season. Although Ian (Boone from Lost) is really rather pretty.
Honestly Lionel/Lex (John Glover and Michael Rosenbaum of course!) steal the show. It really is the more intriguing storyline, the power struggle between these two, which at the moment Lionel is winning. Plus these two actors have such great chemistry together.
And then of course there are lovely CLex moments. So of course we need some PicSpam:
Looking at just the stills it totally looks like they were going to kiss.
I had to include this cap. I love John Glover and Badass Lionel. I was so hoping he was going to be Badass last week.
