I got my tongue pierced last Saturday and it has brought on abit of turmoil. Joey hates it, actually more like despises it. I knew he hated it and i did get it anyway against his wishes but it does bring about the central theme here which is independence . I got a tongue piercing because I wanted to get it done and i dont mind who doesnt like it. I told my mom on tuesday and she made me promise no more or even tats. She told me today to tell my father and then she went out and blabbed it to him without giving me a chance. I wasnt around wen she told him, but i havent spoken to either one of them for alittle bit.
I know he is quite upset and will say some things that i may take as hurtful or offensive, but i am 18 and im legally old enough to get piercings and tats. Why should it bother THEM what I do to MY body.
I dont get it just because they dont like something im not suppose to, where does this control end?
