Yesterday ended up being a really really shitty day.

On friday night, when I was leaving work at 12:30am, I discovered I had a flat tire. I was super pissed but managed to get back to my apartment alright (I decided I would wait till morning to change the tire so I could see what the hell I was doing).

I woke up early yesterday specifically so I could put the spare tire on and go get it fixed with enough time to still make it to Sara's wedding shower. I wrestled with my damn car for an hour before I had to break down and actually call AAA (I hate feeling like an incompetent girl when it comes to things like this)...the lug nuts were on really tight and I didn't have the right tool to get them off to begin with. I cracked the cap on one of the lug nuts before I actually gave up (I didn't want to irreparably or expensively damage my car).

That in and of itself was frustrating, but it got worse.

The AAA guy showed up, and I thought I had actually broken the lug nut and would have to get my car towed, but thankfully it was just the cap that cracked and the guy was still able to put my spare on....but....when he got my flat tire off, the rim was exposed and HOLY SHIT it was badly bent! There were two really distinct dint marks created from the fucking gigantic pot hole that tried to eat my car the other day.

FUCK.

As soon as I saw the rim, I knew it wasn't going to be as easy as just going to get a new tire. Oh no. I got to the tire place, and they looked at my car and I told them I'd also be needing a new rim...they told me they didn't have my rims in stock and that I would have to wait till Monday. Well I said fuck that and got ahold of the closest Ford dealership in the area. When I called they said that they did indeed have my rim in stock, so I went to get it. When I got to the dealership they sold me the rim, but told me they were too busy to actually put it and a new tire on my car. The new rim cost me a fat $200.

Eff.

So, I drove 10 miles back to the tire place I had been at before. When I got back there, they said that it would be an hour and a half before they could even get to my car.

By this point in time, I had already missed the wedding shower entirely, and I was pissed off and frustrated and all I had wanted to do was see my friends who I never get to see and miss terribly. I was looking forward to hanging out with them and it was already too late.

I wanted to scream and throw a tantrum (it had been over 4 hours of dealing with car issues), but instead I sat down in the waiting room for them to get to my car. It took forever. When they finally fixed it, it ended up costing me another $200.

I spent $400 on my freakin' car that I really don't have right now. GoddamnmotherfuckingflattirepieceofshitAAAAARGH

The only good thing that happened yesterday was I went to the photo lab and got a LOT of work done for my final project (I just have a couple of prints to make from my Vanessa photoshoot, I have to shoot with Ryan this upcoming week and print that stuff too and then i'm done)...but even that is laced with resentment and frustration, because it was a GORGEOUS day out, and I was stuck in a dark little hole in the wall by myself for 6+ hours.

I was so exhausted and frustrated yesterday, that as soon as I got home from the photo lab I pretty much went straight to bed.

I suppose yesterday was just the universe's way of balancing my life out...way too many good things have been happening.
