CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Canon Character and Series: Kir, King of Bandits : Jing
In-Game Name: Kir  (just Kir,  only sticks to the name Jing gave him)
Age: Nine. (Though in bird years, that's like being in his early twenties.)
Gender: Male.
Position & Ship (first and second choice for position please): The Winding Way, Boatswain or Cabin Boy (Whatever position Jing is in, he will be too)

Appearance: A black albatross, with a red scarf around his neck.  About the size of the average human head. Bushy gray eyebrows,  and an average wingspan. Brown eyes that always seem to be wide and curious. He looks harmless..at first.

Personality: Kir is a greedy, girl-loving little crazy featherball. He always has a smart remark to make, and isn't afraid to say it. He thinks he's better than anyone else, and is eager to prove it. He also loves the ladies…human ladies, anyway. Depending on the woman, he can be a flat-out pervert, or a total gentleman asking for her hand in marriage.  He also loves all kinds of treasure, and will do just about anything to get his claws on it.

However, this doesn't mean he's a bad bird. If he makes a friend, he will respect them, and is eager to help them. If a girl he likes loves someone else, he'll help put the two lovebirds together. He also can't stand it if someone stronger is pushing someone weaker around…he has a small sense of justice, but it's there.

Most of all, he thinks his partner Jing is the best guy in the entire world.(Even if he does call Jing his sidekick sometimes) He's always ready to defend Jing, and rarely leaves his side. Jing is his best friend, and he's known him throughout all his 'life' (since he hatched from an egg) so they're almost like brothers.

Abilities/Weapons:  Flight, naturally. He can also hover in the air without flapping his wings for long amount of time. His talons can give a nasty scratch when he's angered, and he's willing to throw in a few good punches as well.

However, his most powerful ability is the Kir Royale. By attaching himself to Jing's arm, he transforms into a more demonic form, and is able to shoot out a blast of green energy (Depending on Jing's control, it can just stun a person, or blast a building to smithereens). However, he can only do this once or twice a day, and if Jing has pissed him off, he can refuse to fire.

Weaknesses:  He can be very arrogant, leading him to get into fights with those much bigger and better than himself. He also doesn't know how to take a 'no' from a lady, at first…in fact, he'd be willing to hand over all his treasure for a girl, so one can imagine how much trouble that is.  He can also be ill-tempered and stubborn, easily ticked off if you say the wrong thing. Even Jing has a hard time calming him down, but does always manage to soothe the savage beast.

History: The first memory Kir has is in his egg. All he heard were voices, and he didn't even know his own fate. Truth of the matter was, he was an expensive egg, told to be very delicious, and was going to be sold to the highest bidder…that was, until Jing stole him. (And planned to eat him, too, until he could hear Kir talking inside!)

Kir was content to stay inside his egg, slowly befriending the young prince.  However, when the rich family crumbled, other thieves would come and try to steal whatever Jing had left on him. Outnumbered, it sounded like Jing was done for…so Kir finally burst out of his shell, and latched onto Jing's arm. Neither of them quite understanding what was going on, a Kir Royale came out, and the two were saved.

Now Kir follows Jing loyally, keeping their past a secret, but is determined to help restore his friend's family name to its former glory.

SAMPLES-
Third Person (roleplay):
It was almost amusing to see the young man and his bird walking down the busy marketplace. Their combination almost stuck out like a sore thumb.  The boy, at least, was getting the attention from the ladies, while he was paying attention to the jewels they wore.

The bird, however, had his eyes glued on things either above or below their pretty necklaces.

Finally, he couldn't wait anymore, and suddenly flew off from his master's shoulder, ignoring the call of his name. Instead, he headed right for the nearest blonde, his beak almost touching her nose.

"Hello, beautiful." He crooned, eyebrows wiggling upward. "Do you believe in love at first sight…or should I fly by again?"

"Kir!" Came a call from behind him, and the albatross let out a moan. Not again…once the girl got a good look at him, she'd forget all about the bird! The boy jogged up, with a smirk on his face. "Sorry, miss. He just got out of his cage." He added, with a sympathetic pat on her shoulder.

"Like I'd ever let you put me in a cage!" The bird snapped, brandishing his talons at his supposed friend.

"You would if I tossed in a picture of a pretty girl."

"What kind of moron do you take me for?!"

"You don't want an answer to that."

The argument continued, with the boy looking calm and collective, while the bird continued to lose his temper, until the female lost her patience."If you excuse me…"She interrupted, holding up her hands. "…I must be going." With that, she quickly dashed off.

"Parting is such sweet sorrow!"He of the black feathers yelled after her, nearly wailing.  He pouted for a moment, and then glanced back. "…You got her necklace, didn't you."

The human just smiled, and then held up the pearl accessory.

Kir smiled back, resting on Jing's shoulder once more. "That's my boy."

First Person (journal):
Oy! Whoever tried to serve us eggs today, you'd better expect a beat-down! You think that's funny? It's prejudice, that's what I say!

And when are we going to get some ladies on this boat? Ships full of sausages.  What I wouldn't give to hear the girly giggle of a gorgeous gal!

…Ugh. Now 'm just upset over everything. Jing! Let's go out.  I'm getting cramped in this room. Let's go to Boston, it's the fall!
