squee squee squee.
goodnight, dear beautiful people of earth, this is me with my heart being happy!
i just returned from seeing attack! attack! and youmeatsix.
tonight i enjoyed the shows to my core again, with my whole heart and body (..figuratively, i'm not big on moshing, i'd get killed with a fingerflick) thrown into it. it has been a while since i felt that. months. it was great to realise i haven't lost being excited and thrilled and standing there enjoying every minute, drinking it in, letting the music seep into my body.
the venue was really small, and attack! attack! was adorable, and i actually really liked them. i hadn't expected anything, so that tends to make things more easily enjoyable. their guitarist, i think it was? he reminded me of a mix of dave from son of dork (i know, i know, i was fifteen and lame), and nick from the spill canvas. and then some adam lambert thrown in. enjoyed him thoroughly. i must say, i don't know what else to say about them.
youmeatsix were greaaaat, i had a really good time. josh really made contact with the audience, and they covered lady gaga's pokerface which made me laugh forever. it wasn't bad, though, not in my opinion. he was pretty communicative, too, if that's a word. he talked, and i like him talking. i like him in general, he just looks so cuddly, and i'm a big fan of his voice and accent. i couldn't really tell you the setlist, but they for sure played save it for the bedroom, if i were in your shoes, the turbulance is beautiful, the truth is a terrible thing, and the rumour. and during the rumour, i did this:
and my friend next to me did it with me, and he looked at us, stopped singing (the crowd was singing anyway) pointed at us, made a peace sign, and smiled real wide.
dear world, my life has been made.
it's ridiculous and small and i'm still thirteen, apparently, but it made me really happy, that little bit of contact.
okay, what else? i took pictures with one of those old throwaway paper-plastic camera's, i have to use it at some point anyway. we'll see how those turn out - it wasn't really succesful with mr. mcmahon. josh wore cutoff jeans. i've never seen a boy on stage wear cutoff jeans, i don't think. except maybe bert mccracken, but his were probably longer. dan is really pretty. really pretty. there were too many people stage-diving, although one girl got on stage and walked a little half-circle around josh, touching his back and he smiled at her, and it was kind of sexy. or maybe that was just my brain. at the end i think he mentioned they'd be at the merch and if we were eighteen or over they were going out for a drink somewhere or whatever. i'd have loved to go out drinking with them but alas, i was carrying two extremely tired (but lovely, that doesn't mean not lovely) friendlings and we turned the road that would lead us home.
so. that's basically it. there was a drinks-machine incident before the train took off and a tech guy's birthday and other shenenigans, but.
the end.
oh, and is there anyone who went to see paramore the first time they were here (well, second if you count them supporting my chemical romance), on august 30th 2007? if so; do you remember if the room they played changed, if they changed from the small to the big one? 'cause i don't remember, but my ticket says the small one, and i don't think that was what they played. i do remember hayley saying 'different room' the second time, but i also vaguely remember thinking 'it's not a different room!' but i may have made that up. and i have been in the small one before, i'm pretty sure, but none of my other tickets say the small one. GOD, HELP.
