Life as I now know it....
So its been a while since I posted,thought I better do an update. Have had a busy busy week....
Matt has picked me up from work every day this week, including work after canal club at 3am....was good job too, am so broke I couldnt afford buses :(
Spoke to the assistant head about my situation...felt really embarassed, nobody wants to talk to their boss about how broke they are... but it sorted now, he picks me up from the newbridge every day at 7.30am. I finish at 4.30, so either Matt picks me up or I get 1 bus into town and walk rest of the way home.
I am finding work really challenging at the mo, but so so rewarding. I am teaching a 16 yr old girl to read...from scratch. Every day for an hour after school, cos she doesnt go to school. HAd to start by teaching her the basic alphabet sounds, then vowels, then what letters sound like when put with other letters. She can now read simple words like Beg, Den, Fat, Cat, Yes, Sit, But, etc... It's still early days but I feel like I am really making a difference to this girl. I also teach her Maths, doing times tables at the mo. It's weird, I havent any training, wasnt told what to do or where to start, had to get my own resources, but even now I still think it is totally what I am meant to be doing.:)
Havent really been able to see everyone lately, only reason I see Matt is because he stays over so much lol Work is really tiring, then I come home n do lesson plans n research. Fun!! lol
Anyway, was good everyone comin round last week, we watched a dvd, got takeout and just chilled for a bit :)
Went to Half way house last week cos Matt was djing, I got very drunk n made Matt walk 10 ft in front of me cos he was making me laugh, and then said HE was drunk n made him walk in a straight line lol
Went to the SU friday night, after getting hassled from Mat and annie. So Matt went home n was meeting us there, then Lisa arrived n we all started to get ready. Shane called me n said "Edel. i have a question. What do I do if there's glass all over the floor, my left hand is bleeding and I need to get rid of the evidence?" lol BAsically football + Chandalier = Disaster lol Typical he knew to call me cos I am not seen as an adult...that child really does view me as a partner in crime. lol
Anyway, later annie n me decided to change what we were wearing, n go to the SU in our pyjamas, seeing as it was a pyjama party! Looked a bit strange but we thought wtf.lol As we were queueing Matt n Tony arrived. Lisa didnt have any ID on her so I was cheeky n handed her mine while the bouncers were talking to us...he said he was gonna confiscate it but I kept laughing n then he just laughed n handed it back to me lol
So got VERY drunk inside, was on quadruples (whisky) cos I still had unios n wanted to spend them. Then saw Samir, we kinda avoided talking to each other for the first hour or so, but then met in the doorway of Fat Micks. We ended up talking for bout 20 mins. He couldnt believe I was workin in a school. Cant really remember everything we talked about, he was drinking what Maria calls the "Magic Drink"...basically a mix of vodka, archers, tequila, cherry brandy, lemonade, amoretto....deadly but deceptively tasty! I'd had some of Demi's before n told Samir how much I liked it, he said he's get me one later but I didnt take much notice.
Later I was talking to stoner Rich in the hallway, Matt was nearby. Samir came over n called me over to him n he had got me a pint of the Magic drink... I was really surprised he remembered n went to the bother of getting it... I said thanks n then he went into Zone 34. Spent rest of night dancing stupidly, running away from Matt cos he was trying to steal my drink... n going on stealth missions to the hub with sarah n annie! lol
Dont remember leaving su, smoked a spliff outside,then samir called me n I gave him a toke, chatted shit n then eventually our cab was their n Matt was comin over to get me again so I hugged Samir n got in Cab. When we go back I think Matt was thinkin bout it, he was in a weird mood. Then my phone rang,I missed call n it rang again, it was Samir. He asked why I hadnt answered the first time he rang (Since when has HE becom so needy?) n then said he was looking for Demi n was he here (Cos Demi had been with Annie again)I said no, then Samir asked what was I up to etc. N when I said I think Demi went to catch up with him n henry, Samir said "Oh, he's probably at home, we not home yet". So if he not home yet, why call me to find out where he is??! He is so trying to fuck with my head.
anyway, had good night, tho I was wasted n we woke up andi lol
Felt ill all yesterday, been caughing n sneezing non stop. Then Matt was asked to DJ at the halfway house for an 18th bday party. As it was all rock music he needed me to go with him to sort out the cds before he started.Called Maria n she came out to half way house, we ate free food (I had the munchies) n stayed till bout 12.30. I was SOOO ILLL!! Came back n went straight to bed.
This morning, Matt got up, n brought Maria back to hers, went to asda n bought a load of food, came back here n is currently cleaning my kitchen / cooking me a huge fry up. I am still in bed, cos I still ill. Still, it's nice to be looked after this much when I sick. He says he's gonna pick me up from work this coming week cos it meant a lot to him that I went to the Hlfway house even tho I was really sick.:)
James, do u wanna meet up tomorrow? I finish work at 4.30, Matt is picking me up n I've told him I need quality time with my bestest so he leaving me home n then going home himself.:) Should be back just before 5, tho if u wanna do the carvery thing I can meet u in Newbridge... Misseth U Muchly!!! x x
