Yesterday I ran the Manitoba Marathon. It was an awesome experience and I hope to do it again next year with more training thrown in. I went in pretty much with no training what so ever and really bad gear. My shoes, which are super old and have holes in them, should have been replaced with some new ones that are meant for running. This would have probably prevented my ankle from falling apart between mile 7 and 8. It made the run seem that much more longer since I had to take many breaks from running to rest the ankle. But I got the job done and I'm satisfied. Next year I hope to do it again and reduce my finishing time by at least 20 minutes if not more.
