Lather, rinse, repeat
So there's this thing. And it's not my thing. It's someone else's thing that I'm doing because that someone else isn't doing what is supposed to be done.
I don't have time to do my thing and this other person's thing. This thing is not my thing, and I am tired of playing nice.
So this thing? This thing that's not my thing? I am not going to do it. I will tell the person who should be doing this thing that this is the thing that needs to be done, and I am not doing it.
And that person will do it. Or won't do it. But it won't be my thing any more.
I will take my own observation to heart -- NO is the most underutilized word in the English language. I will not continue to contribute to this trend.
