Tomorrow- SIN CITY!!
I think it goes without saying that I cannot wait to see this movie. As someone who has read the books avidly since the very first story was published in collected form about twelve years ago, I've been waiting for this movie with the utmost impatience. Now, so close to Zero Hour, I'm practically foaming at the mouth. I expect you'll be seeing a LOT of Sin City content here for the next while, as I'll have a lot of thoughts on it, even if it disappoints me. Consider yourself fairly warned. ;)
I've even been reading some critic's reviews-- those of you who know me are aware that I normally despise critics-- but this is one movie where I'm actually interested in seeing what they think about it. It's so different from what's gone before, and I'm certain most people will be really taken aback by the Sin City experience. The concensus is overwhelmingly positive, something that actually surprises me a bit. Out of the approximately twenty reviews that I read, only three had a negative view of the film. My favorite line from all of them, taken from the Newsweek review: "It's gory stuff, but it's also a visually arresting blitzkrieg with action so bare-knuckled you'll leave the theater spitting out teeth. "
