So I haven't updated in awhile so I thought I would change that. The problem is I haven't really been drawing a whole heck of a lot lately. I do, however, have several unfinished and work doodles. Enjoy.
Work doodle. It's pretty unreadable but it's a possible lay out for the Nightclub. It's a club/restaurant, so there are several tables in the center on the bar end and a small dance floor on the stage end. The stage is quite tiny, really. Just enough for the bands to be elevated above everything. Behind the bar and behind the stage are larger rooms for storage and whatever, and on each side of the stage is one of the entrances. The LA entrance on one side and the human entrance on the other. The whole decor of the place is a little of this and a little of that, but overall it's got one of those warm red/brown/orange/yellow glowy atmosphere with chintzy stained glass lights with dangly crystal things on every table (every table has a checkered tablecloth, of course). Think kind of Art Deco/Art Nouveau/Toulouse Lautrec-draws-the-moulin-rouge. Tim cooks. And also apparently draws spells on the ceilings to make them higher. Who knows.
A little gryphon cub sleeping on her favorite toy. I got into a 'let's expand the LA' mood and came up with a variety of different shops, one being a toyshop. Stuffed gryphons and teddy bears and the like. they also make convenient teething toys.
The original fullform drawing for the Jim turnaround sheet I did recently. I abandoned it because damn if I can't stop making that boy look like a total damn girl.
Unfinished doodle of the Freak club. You can kind of see why I abandoned it.
I've been writing more and Erin's backstory is one of the several stories I've been piddling with. Here's a secret: I love him.
More work doodles. Alec and post-Turning Pete. Aw, children. I would imagine being able to eat anything would be an interesting ability to learn that you have. Apparently Alec just wears hoodies all his life. Especially when I keep seeing people wear hoodies that he would probably wear. Venom? Sure.
I'm thumbnailing all of Issue 2 this weekend, so actual drawing that's not related to that issue will probably be scarce.
