SKETCHBOOK OF THE CENTURY. I finally live, guys. And it's time to update! Whee!
First up, printmaking! This is the progression of me engraving this bitch. I'm having a lot of freakin' fun. I hope it turns out well.
In the great tradition of Sfé Doing It, Note doodles. Art of Asia. There was some picture of a human faced bull thing and it turned into this in my notes. Also there's some slides. Notice how I only draw animal-headed things or stuff of a similar nature. I'm predictable.
Then I drew it in my sketchbook. It's a makara, which is kind of a catch-all term for combination animals in India. It looks kind of like the Forest Spirit from Princess Mononoke. Did I watch that movie the day after I drew these things? Yes. Yes I did.
Another note doodle, this time for Contemporary Art. One of Sfé's salamanders for the hell of it in the middle of my notes about Happenings. God I love that class.
i forgot how much I love Erin and Johnny. So then I remembered and drew them. I can't decide if I like middle aged mellow them more or less than young angsty/super happy them. The text says "You're so lame"/"Your face is lame" and "Stop it"/"Nein". Oh I'm so damn cute.
Sheana did a "Where the name Peter comes from" doodle quite awhiles back and today I was thinking of how damn clever I was with the name Tragos (I think it was because we were talking about Baccinalias in Art of Asia today). I learned this in my Classical Mythology class. I make no apologies for mispellings. It's too late for that. I'm tired.
I'm trying to get used to my new tablet. It's different then my old tablet. We got all sorts of things up in here. My favorite might be Alec. But that's only because Fall is here and that means Halloween and that means I'm thinking of creepy characters and that means things like the Momo, Nightmare, and Alec. Also we have some Police Disco Lights, Johns, Petes, and Erins and Johnnys.
And then we have me with a Me puppet. What?
