I drove the truck in to work today. I have been driving the car due to good gas mileage. Last night I was moving the car so I could take the truck to Brett's. (I hadn't driven it since we went to Champps.) I put the car on the hill in front of the garage doors. I pulled the e-brake and it just popped and kept going back. Haha. I should take you up to pendleton and make you practice going over 38 on my road.

Handy tip that I have never used. (we live in Indiana) If you stop on a steep hill put your e-brake on and when you're ready to go release the e-brake that way you don't roll backwards.

well, you're going to roll backwards either way aren't you? i mean, gravity and all. does this just slow down your rate of going backwards?

Well, you start to take off and since your e-brake is on you won't roll at all then you release your brake while you have already started to slowly take off so you just start rolling. The trick is not to kill the car. It's kind of the same concept as an automatic. Your car is already in gear you just have your brakes on.
