This is going to be another pipe-dream, isn't it.
Good news: I think I know what I want to do with my life. I want to become a researcher. There is nothing I enjoy more than being asked to find out something and getting the information. Hell, I'm professionally curious. I'm not particularly bothered what field, either. Could be publishing, journalism, or anything non-academic.
Bad news: There are no research posts in my county, and it's a big-ass county
Worse news: I have neither the experience nor qualifications to get a research post, were one to crop up.
Any ideas? I'm looking into work placements, but I can't even find any of those within a 30 mile radius of my city.
