Longer DWCon post, but still short as I'm knackered and forgetful

I'm not sure it's physically possible for me to remember all the fantastic things that went on this weekend. There is much detail that I'm going to leave out, probably some in-jokes that I'll accidentally leave in. But I've just had to transfer a large chunk of savings into my current account and I need some cheering up. Remembering this insanity will, I really hope, provide that.

  • Chaos Costuming. There is no way of better describing this place than pointing to the name itself and noting the mountain of fabric that Barbara and Teddi could turn into ANYTHING. This became a meeting place of sorts for the four of us.
  • The Executive Lounge. Which was lovely and crazy and involved a strange man threatening to steal my hat and me threatening to puncture his wheelchair tyres if he did so. Kethni then also took the four of us for tea in the lounge as she was given a VIP upgrade for the weekend. Awesome stuff.
  • The scarlet lipstick went down a storm, especially given my traditional assassin clothing of all black.
  • The dagger-dance, performed by four other assassins and myself after only two hours of practice.
  • The Rat-Race 'Poisons' Stall - we collected more guild appreciation vouchers than I could possibly comprehend. If the Chairman had been a better sport, we probably would have won the Guild Cup.
  • How many people can you fit under a Crinoline skirt? More than you would think, although you do need a high-ceiling and an accommodating Seamstress.
  • aeron_lanart turned a former hell's angel dressed as Mad Hamish into a drag queen, who then went on to win the drag race, and the pro-celebrity drag race
  • Midnight feasts of chocolate and pretzels with aeron_lanart, mad_jaks and kethni

You will see that there is a conspicuous lack of sari mentioned. Thanks to all of you that provided support, information, encouragement or all three, but there was a very good reason. At the hotel that weekend, there was one Sikh wedding, and one Hindu wedding (I think, although it could have also been Sikh). So that ruled out the sari for a number of reasons. Dammit, I will find a way to wear this!

I have missed things out, and I'll probably add to this as people point out things that I've missed. But I'm not kidding when I said I had more fun than should be allowed. This is easily the best holiday/break I've had in ages and you bet your ass I'm going again next year. Although next time 7tree_hugger, you're coming if I have to drag you here myself. You would have had a blast.
