So, I did my part in the current US election last week, while at the grocery store. Yes, the people in my county of residence are so determined to get out the vote, that there was early voting the the local grocery store.
On the other hand, it was unquestionable to me that I was going to vote.
People who don't vote make me mad, like few other things out there. Thanks to the US constitution, we have a right to suggest the direction in which our country is headed. How, with any miniscule amount of common sense, could we possibly say "thanks, but no thanks"?
So, with this in mind, I took one of my employees out to early vote tonight. She wanted to vote, but can't drive, and was going to have a hard time getting to her polling place tomorrow, so I drove her over to the county office building, where they were doing early voting from 8-6 today. Yay democracy.
Another employee decided that she didn't feel like early voting, and is going to be too busy at a concert tomorrow to get there.
People like her are why G. W. Bush is currently our president.
I don't care who you vote for, even if I disagree with you completely. Vote for crazy old Bob Barr. Vote for yourself as a write-in. Just frikking VOTE.
