First day of class...
Aaaahhh, the first day of fall classes. It's been 10 years since I last had said day. My first impression was one of surprise, for these classes aren't nearly as intense as UofM classes (of course!). I chuckle at the little undergrad insecurities and gossip, etc. Dorm room talk and such. I'm glad I'm passed that stuff, and yet it's all part of going to college for the first time.
I realize that Ferris has much lower standards than Michigan, but I expect people to have brains. Several minutes were spent in Astronomy explaining to people that they have a lab with lecture, and they chose a lab when they enrolled for Lecture. It's not hard people, 3 labs to choose from and you chose one. But some nitwits couldn't understand, they thought they went all three times, or didn't get what one they were supposed to go do. Wow, I hope I wasn't that dumb.... lol
Anyways, the breaks between classes are dull as hell. Fortunately I brought Harry potter with me, but I can't read for 3 hours straight because of eye strain. This time will be great for doing homework, but today it blows. Last class at 4:00 and then I head home to pick up my nephew for the night. He's staying over because I was sick last week. I have such a great time with that kid now, I'm looking forward to our day!
