A thought about Sampa and The End

So I'm watching In The Beginning again (to fill my time until the show finally decides what it wants to do with Cas) and this thought/fic idea came to me. When Sampa comes back in S6, shouldn't he have recognized Dean as that hunter he ate dinner with before he died/shit went down? S6 Sampa was for the most part implying that Dean was out of hunting, rusty, and a little bit useless for the first half of the season but never seemed to recognize Dean as that hunter who claimed his dad was psychic.

So now I want to read fics of Sampa recognizing Dean as that one guy way back when. Because I think Dean's placement during such tumultuous events should render him memorable.
