Someone spent way, way, WAY too much time reading the comments on this post today:
http://community.livejournal.com/ontd_startrek/355685.html Okay, it was me. And now I can't stop thinking about Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine, Karl Urban, their Star Trek alter egos, and thinking in macro-speak. It's bad. But good.
Tomorrow is my last day of work at my internship!
Last day of work - yay!
Last money making opportunity for the foreseeable future - boo!
I'm about 95% sure they're planning some sort of party thingy for me tomorrow. They've asked me when my last day is WAY too many times...very stealthy.
I'm on a list serve for Cities majors (it's a major unique to Bryn Mawr but similar to what other schools would call Urban Studies). I psyched myself up to respond to a post about book recommendations, which led to a nice email exchange with my old professor! Too bad I wasn't able to answer his questions - he was asking for recommendations of where to go in Nicaragua and Panama - the two countries in Central America that I haven't been to!)
We're slowly chipping away at our packing/prep list. Yesterday I spent about $100 at CVS for travel supplies. Today we dropped another $75 at the pet store for Miso's vacation supplies (she's staying with friends of ours who have a boy pug! I'm so jealous of the good times that they're going to have!) I'm actually really enjoying packing. I love packing for our backpacking trips....since we don't need to bring very much, it's just a matter of figuring out which few things I really want to bring, plus making up little toiletry and first aid kits in ziploc bags, which is all pretty fun.
I'm supposed to hear about my job by Friday. Also about signing the lease for our new apt. I have that nervous/excited feeling in my stomach, and I don't think it's going to go away for a few weeks yet!
Final things which are good, and then I go to sleep:
- I ate a Klondike bar
- My dog is cute
- I made plans to go see Star Trek on Friday at 10:30 AM (ha!)
- Dan is going down to Philly on Saturday and will probably know what school he'll be working at by next week
- had a great night last night with friends and lobster mac and cheese
