Busy, yet not
So I've been busy with a lot of music stuff:
- Noreaster recorded last week. I'm almost done with my tracks. I have 2 more to do, then we add everyone else. Finally we were able to work with the keyboard player. It's gonna sound great. Once this is done, most likely our show will be at the end of July or beginning of August.
- I have a jazz combo gig next week in Coventry.
- The two classes I have at Berklee are not hectic at all. Drum Lab isn't hard, but the lesson is a little crazy at times. Last week, my teacher fell asleep as I was playing. I could not believe it. Kenwood is insane anyway. He's a very intense teacher, but it's all fun.
- Last Friday was my audition for Fantasy Works. I was hired on the spot, which rocks. I'm playing for 3 shows: Wizard of Oz, Anything Goes, and Peter Pan. Plus, I'm playing the caberet that I did for them last year. So, 4 shows. Sweet.
- Been semi-writing some music. Maybe I'll use it for Noreaster or just for myself.
Since last Friday night, I have been living at Mr. A's house. He wanted me to dogsit/housesit for him. I had to sleep there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. It's cool how Mr. A is more than just a teacher to me, which goes the same for Mr. C. The two of them are always around for me when it comes to talking about music and my future.
Saw Click last night with Anthony, Briana, and Greg. It was an ok movie. It was just a regular Adam Sandler movie at first, then it got extremely serious, which is not normal at all for an Adam Sandler movie. The serious half was good, but it was just a really weird balance coming from the funny half.
Going to Florida from July 6th to the 10th. My grandfather is doing so-so. I haven't been to Florida since February 05 when I auditioned at Miami. Maybe someday I'll go back there for a masters degree, if I really have the time.
So I've been busy, but I'm not at the same time. Kind of feeling a little out there. I'm busy with all this music stuff, but at the same time, I'm extremely blah. I hope things get better.
