RIC has been boring. I seriously can't stand it anymore. I'm trying to make the best out of it until this first semester is over, but there really isn't much to enjoy. There are so many days when I have to deal with people at RIC putting down my decision to go to Berklee, then I have days where I'm so excited after having an awesome drum lesson with my new teacher. The only way I get through each week is that drum set lesson, along with counting down the days until I see Cat again.
I was in Boston this weekend, which was a lot of fun. I arrived at MCP at night. Cat and I ate from the cafeteria and then we watched Seinfeld dvds in her room. Saturday, we went to Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall and at night we went to a fancy Italian restaurant called Cantina Italiana in the North End. It was really good. After that, we watched National Treasure. Sunday, more Seinfeld, more food. We went to the Museum of Fine Arts with her friend at MCP, Jen. I like looking at the paintings better than the artifacts. Although I didn't get to see the exhibit, I have discovered a photographer that I really like. Ansel Adams. His stuff is really cool. Then at night, I left to come back home.
I hate coming back home after being in Boston. I love Boston so much. I hate leaving Cat and all the great things about Boston every time I come home. I think this month will fly by fast, due to there being something to do almost every weekend. I can't wait till this semester at RIC is over. Berklee is going to be great for me.
I'm sorry to hear about what happened to the Cranston East Marching Band on Saturday, from hearing about Dave Ruggeri's dad, the tenor player missing from drumline, all the holes, and the possible cancellation of the season. I hope you guys pull through and get everyone on the same level. I've heard about Rob and Stacey talking about alumni possibly speaking to the band. I'm definitely interested if it's still happening.
I'm out for now.
Later.
